Three years ago (when we bought and arrived at 2692 East Warren Road) Jeannie made and gave me this lovely work of art. It's waited that long to find it's home. It decorates and represents our medicinal garden. Thanks Jeannie...and love....
It's been a long day. The babies were born around 7am. Second year that Clover's had the first twins...and our second year of having lambs born here on the farm. Though I will go back out around 11 or 11:30pm (and maybe sometime before dawn), when I came in at 9:30 tonight, I felt pretty wiped out. The dogs sniffed it.
Our lady ewes are awaiting birth in the barn—with new bedding, fresh water...and the protection of Colorado (or young ram). Clover and her twins (girl and boy, 11 and 9 lbs respectively) are in back area. Feeding well. All is good and weather is warm. Cam has this amazing connection with the animals. Clover is one of his favorite—and you can see it here. The sheep are lovely. Watching carefully (their body...their breathing....the motion) you can know when they begin to labor. They are graceful animals.
Welcome to Stowell Farm. This site tells and shows a bit about the many things we do on this amazing property on the East Warren Road in the Mad River Valley.
