Winter Pruning
/We've been self-teaching ourselves on fruit-tree pruning—mostly through YouTube. Also have some cool videos (borrowed): Holistic Orcharding with Michaeld Fillips, Year-Round Vegetable Production with Eliot Coleman and Business Advice for Organic Farmers with Richard Wiswall (also a fantastic book of the same name). Today, after watching several takes, we were ready. Worked with two old apple trees on the north side of the property—and a few pear and cherry trees that are two and three-years old (if that). South and western apple trees are really very old—and really very overgrown. We'll tackle those on another day. P.S., thank goodness for one-suits and Muckmasters.
