I had company! The mommas and older ewe lambs and ram lambs (and the big ram) chowed some hay will the little guys romped around. It really is ridiculously cute. It's such an alive and exciting time here at the farm. March lambing brings the idea of spring, life and abundance right to the forefront of our daily reality. We had two lambs in late October, 2015 and then again in late January—which kept a more upbeat tone to an odd winter scene. On February 28, Joe Emenheiser (Extension Assistant Professor: Livestock Specialist) trailered eight beautiful, bred, ewes from Mike Kirks farm in Charlotte). Now, we have ten lambs and probably four more to go. Cam took this picture yesterday. Many more to come. Keep an eye out for them: they are ridiculously, super cute.

The Vermont Sheep Breeders’ Association is a non-profit agricultural membership organization and has been in existence for over 100 years. We are incorporated in the State of Vermont, have a Board of Directors and a written set of by-laws. In addition to soliciting our membership on an annual basis for dues to sustain our administrative services and publications, we write for grants to support our programs.
As a volunteer organization, we could do nothing without the good will, ideas and help of our membership.
